Filestream is a required feature that must be enabled on the Database Instance that CostOS will use. Filestream, as a feature, allows binary data to be saved to the filesystem instead of the database. This provides a performance enhancement, when used for large ammounts of data. Furthermore, Filestream protects data integrity because the file operations are performed as part of a transaction. Filestream Data are still saved in tables, like traditional BLOB data types. Normally, CostOS Server Installer will enable and configure this feature automatically. See more at Install and configure CostOS Application Database (Microsoft SQL Server) |
