The whole process is done via CostOS web console, so open it '<CostOS_Server_IP>:<port>/ces' and log in.On the tabs on the grey panel on the right, click on 'User Management' and then select 'LDAP Configuration'.
For the input of the page that opens, advise the following:
- Tick the 'Active' box.
- For 'HostName', insert the host name or IP address of the Server running LDAP. (e.g. 192.168.1.1)
- For 'Port', insert the Port used to connect to the Server running LDAP.(e.g. 389)
- For the 'Bind DN' field, insert the user that will access and copy the data from the 'Active Directory'. Please make sure to follow the rules as described on the textbox below. (e.g. LDAPAdmin@nomitech.net)
- For 'Password', insert the password of the domain user to read the entries.
- On the Base DN field, insert the root node where the users are saved to search for them. Once more, follow the rules and example as described below on the textbox. (e.g. cn=Users,dc=nomitech,dc=net)
- On Synchronisation Interval, please select how often you want your CostOS user database to be updated with the entries of Active Directory.
- Tick the 'SSL' checkbox if you want to enable SSL for the process of copying user details.

Troubleshooting:
If the above take place and the system still fails to connect, or if the integration initially succeeds but later with the same settings it fails-users failing to login, please make sure that an actual IP is used and not host name in the 'HostName' field.
