This article is about replacing a concurrent license on a CostOS Server.

The guidance provided is applicable and mandatory for all license file replacements, for CostOS Servers that either worked or didn't work before the replacement. It is also applicable and mandatory for reinstalling databases of previously concurrent-licensed CostOS Servers into new environments.

What you need to know before starting:

- Unlike named licenses, concurrent license keys are read by CostOS Server from the CostOS database it connects to.

- The table where they are saved is LICTBL, on main CostOS database and the entries are as many as the license keys of the concurrent license.

Requirements to proceed: Access to CostOS Server machine that receives the license. Access to SQL Database machine the aforementioned CostOS Server connects to.

1.Shut down CostOS Server.

2. Open SQL Management Studio on the database. Connect to the instance that hosts CostOS data. Expand to view the tables of main CostOS database. Right click on LICTBL and click on 'Edit top 200 rows'. Remove them all and close management studio.

3. Run CostOS Server setup, select configure mode and replace the license file by selecting the new one when prompted. You may leave all other options as they are.

4. Run CostOS Server again

The new licenses should now be available. Please check by running a CostOS Workstation and connecting to the configured CostOS Server.
